Terapia Psicodélica Con Hongos en Marlyand

Terapia Psicodélica Con Hongos en Maryland

Bienvenidos.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Oklahoma

As psychedelics pick up more steam in mainstream media, interest in their healing potential has increased drastically. Mental health in general has become a popular topic, especially amongst young people who are learning to navigate a world which is increasingly more tech-oriented and ridden with disasters like the climate crisis, COVID, and various wars.

For some people, psychedelics offer us a chance to reconnect with the earth, redefine our purpose, and shift paradigms. In this modern day, people are looking back to the wisdoms of ancient and indigenous peoples who seemingly knew how to live in congruence with their environment—and coincidentally often employed psychedelics to heal the sick and inform their cultures.

If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of psychedelics and what options you have in your area, you have come to the right place. The term “psychedelic assisted therapy” technically implies the use of psychedelics overseen by a licensed psychotherapist within the context of a clinical setting, and given that it is illegal in most states to use psychedelics, providing psychedelic assisted therapy could cost someone their licenses.

However, it is still possible to have a therapeutic experience on psychedelics with an experienced facilitator near you. If you are curious about the general therapeutic benefits of psychedelics, click here for more information.

In spite of the fact that Oregon is the only state in which psilocybin is legal for use in mental health treatment, many states are currently exploring changing legislation around psychedelic substances, with proposals of decreasing penalties for low-level possession as well as increasing clinical studies of these substances as potential treatment options for mental health disorders.

On the bright side, you do have options in Oklahoma for having a therapeutic psychedelic experience, and we will discuss those options along with the latest changes in psychedelic drug reform in your state.

The Therapeutic Benefits of a Psychedelic Experience

Modern-day clinical research indicates that psychedelics, including psilocybin or magic mushrooms, are powerful and effective tools in treating mental disorders, mood disorders, and mental illnesses like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and even addiction.

While research is still being conducted to fully understand how these substances operate within the human mind, scientific communities all over the US are beginning to expand and explore mind-altering substances as potential therapeutic tools, especially given that conventional treatment methods are often ineffective for the ever-growing list of complex psychological disorders.

As long as psychedelics have been used, people have reported that they help shake up negative thought patterns, alleviate feelings of anxiety and helplessness, reinvigorate meaning and purpose in one’s life, expand one’s awareness beyond average perception, and more.

It is no wonder that scientific communities across the states are beginning to reconsider the usage of these mind-altering substances given the rich history indicating their healing potential.

The Current Legislation of Psychedelics in Oklahoma

At the beginning of 2022, Oklahoma representative, Daniel Pae, succeeded in getting a bill passed in the Oklahoma House of Representatives that would allow for legal clinical research to be done with psilocybin, the psychoactive compound in magic mushrooms. The bill also proposed to decrease the penalty of possession of one and a half ounces or less of psilocybin to a fine of $400.

The representatives sponsoring this bill have expressed that they were inspired by the recent promising studies which show that psychedelics can benefit those with illnesses like PTSD and depression who otherwise have not seen improvement with more traditional treatment methods. Their specific focus is decreasing the suicide rates of Oklahoma veterans.

While this bill is not intended to promote or allow recreational use of psychedelics, it is a huge step toward decreasing stigma in the state and potentially normalizing psilocybin as a therapeutic treatment.

The bill is now awaiting a signature from the state governor before it becomes active. In the meantime, psilocybin along with other psychedelic substances still have strict penalties for possession in the state of Oklahoma.

How to Find Legal Psychedelic Experiences in Oklahoma in 2023

1. Ketamine Clinics

Ketamine may be a good option for those seeking a psychedelic therapy in a clinical setting, because ketamine is legal for registered clinical practitioners. These treatments take place in “ketamine clinics,” which may or may not be available to you in your area. There are a few things to consider about going with a ketamine treatment option.

Ketamine differs from traditional psychedelics in its overall use and experience. It is primarily used for treating depression, and ketamine clinics may or may not offer a holistic, well-rounded environment for your mind-altering experience. Check out the guide we’ve written for tips on how to find a reputable ketamine clinic in your area

2. Guided Psychedelic Journeys

When using psychedelic substances as therapeutic tools, it is important to have access to a safe setting in which you are supported. Throughout history and amongst many indigenous cultures, guides or shamans were present during the usage of psychedelics.

This provided the user with an experienced middle-person, who could both stay grounded in “normal” reality and understand the experiences and messages relayed by the substance. Today, the presence of a trip-sitter or guide is equally valuable, and can be the difference between a transformative trip and a disorienting or terrifying one.

Aside from the ceremony itself are the preparation prior to and integration after your trip. Having a truly therapeutic experience often takes more than simply ingesting a substance, but rather requires being able to set a clear intention for the trip as well as understand and process what you experienced.

At Psychedelic Passage, we provide professional facilitators who are experienced in harm reduction and navigating the inner world of psychedelic use. While we are not licensed mental health professionals, we are trained and experienced guides.

Do note that we do not provide any psychedelic substances, but do provide preparation, harm reduction and integration services during your psychedelic experience. While the majority of our clients choose to work with psilocybin, we can sit for other psychedelic medicines as well.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Ohio

The benefits of psychedelics for mental health are gaining increasingly more recognition amongst medical communities and social circles across the country. As mind-altering substances have ebbed and flowed in popularity throughout western culture, a different approach toward these substances is gaining traction, which encompasses a scientific and therapeutic understanding of these substances.

While drugs like magic mushrooms and ayahuasca have been used for thousands of years, spanning across a multitude of cultures, our modern culture is beginning to peel back the stigma surrounding drugs in an effort to understand and make use of them as many ancient cultures have done throughout history.

Importantly, psychedelics and other mind-altering substances are becoming associated with therapeutic treatment for mental and mood issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, bipolar disorder, and addiction.

For more information on the benefits of psychedelics on mental health, read our article on healing here. With the advent of ketamine clinics, people are searching for the next horizon of treatment, with the hope of psychedelic mushrooms taking the lead.

Along with the scientific clinical research being done on these medicines is a movement toward psychological exploration and self-healing, in which people feel empowered and motivated to take their mental health into their own hands. To no surprise, the re-awakening of psychedelic exploration in mainstream culture has happened alongside this movement toward self-empowerment.

If you are searching for ways to experience the therapeutic benefits of medicines like psilocybin, DMT or MDMA, you may find some difficulties. In a majority of states throughout the US, there is no legal way to work with a licensed therapist trained in psychedelic assisted therapy, and psychotherapists cannot legally aid you in your trip nor provide you with any substances.

However, it is possible to experience the therapeutic benefits of psychedelics with a trained, professional guide. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of a therapeutic psychedelic experience as well as the state laws in Ohio and legal options you have near you.

The Legality of Psychedelics in Ohio:

Exploring Research, Education, and Mental Health Perspectives

Psychedelics have gained attention for their potential therapeutic benefits, prompting discussions around their legality and integration into mental health systems. This article examines the current state of psychedelic drug research, ethical considerations, educational initiatives, and mental health services in Ohio, focusing on graduate and undergraduate levels.

Psychedelic Drug Research: Ohio has witnessed a resurgence of psychedelic drug research in recent years. Researchers and institutions are exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics for various mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Studies have shown promising results in reducing symptoms and improving overall well-being in patients with PTSD.

Historical and Ethical Aspects: Psychedelic research has a rich history, but it faced significant restrictions for several decades due to societal and political concerns. However, contemporary research prioritizes ethical considerations, such as ensuring participant safety and obtaining informed consent. Historical lessons inform present-day research practices and ethical guidelines.

Research and Administrative Staff: Psychedelic research typically involves an interdisciplinary team comprising researchers, psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and administrative staff. These professionals collaborate to design and conduct studies, ensuring adherence to research protocols and ethical standards.

Interdisciplinary Educational Initiatives: Ohio’s academic institutions have begun embracing interdisciplinary educational initiatives related to psychedelics. These initiatives may include courses, workshops, or research opportunities that explore the scientific, therapeutic, historical, and ethical dimensions of psychedelics. Students at the graduate and undergraduate levels can engage in scholarly pursuits in this emerging field.

More Mental Health Services: Ohio’s mental health system faces various challenges, including limited resources and access to care. The integration of psychedelic-assisted therapy and the exploration of innovative treatment approaches aim to address these challenges. Expanding mental health services and incorporating evidence-based practices would provide more comprehensive care to individuals in need.

Interdisciplinary Psychedelic Scholarship: Ohio’s academic institutions offer interdisciplinary psychedelic scholarship opportunities at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. These programs aim to foster research, education, and academic exploration of psychedelics from diverse disciplinary perspectives. Scholarships can support students interested in advancing the field’s knowledge and application.

Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Ohio 2023

1. Ketamine Clinics

Ketamine differs from traditional psychedelics, however its effectiveness in treating mood disorders—especially depression—is widely recognized by medical communities, as well as the federal government. This is why ketamine clinics are opening all over the US, including Ohio.

Given that ketamine is legal for use by registered clinical practitioners, it is a viable option for those looking for a therapeutic experience utilizing mind-altering substances. However, there are certain limitations to the ketamine-clinic route. Preparation for and integration after the session are not a guaranteed part of the overall experience, potentially leaving you without the support you need.

Since these clinics are a relatively new form of treatment, and since there may only be a handful of clinics per state, you may also find that accessibility can be an issue. We’ve written a guide to help you find a reputable ketamine clinic in your area

2. Guided Psychedelic Experiences

To have a truly therapeutic, transformative and safe trip, a few things should be taken into consideration. Firstly, adequate preparation prior to a ceremony, through setting an intention and working with someone who understands the medicine, can set the tone for a positive session.

Secondly, the presence of a guide or “trip-sitter,” who is experienced in harm-reduction and navigating a psychedelic experience, can be the difference between a positive, transformative trip and one that is detrimental or negative. Lastly, being able to integrate, understand and make sense of the experience afterwards is a key part of the therapeutic process.

In working with an experienced facilitator from beginning to end, the psychedelics are allowed a positive and safe container to not only disrupt old, harmful patterns but also inspire new, regenerative ones.

At Psychedelic Passage, we offer our pre-vetted network of professional facilitators. While they are not licensed mental health professionals, our network is comprise of trained and experienced guides.

Do note that we do not provide any psychedelic substances, but do provide preparation, harm reduction and integration services during your psychedelic experience. While the majority of clients choose to work with psilocybin, facilitators can sit for other psychedelic medicines as well.

Sunset in kansas

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Kansas

Since the beginning of the war on drugs in the 1970s, psychedelics have been targeted by governments and naysayers as dangerous, addictive substances. Mainstream messaging around mind-altering substances like MDMA, LSD, and magic mushrooms has traditionally consisted of fear-inducing propaganda campaigns and the threat of stiff penalties for possession and distribution.

Nowadays, there is still plenty of social stigma and legal repercussions attached to these medicines, but a renaissance in psychedelic exploration is evolving throughout the US and abroad. Part of this is because scientific and medical communities have begun embracing mind-altering substances as potential tools for healing and the treatment of various psychological and mood issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and trauma. Inevitably, when society and science agree on an issue, it is only a matter of time before the law follows suit.

As the modern scientific exploration of psychedelics and entheogens—psychedelics that induce powerful, spiritual experiences—continues to evolve, so too does an appreciation of ancient cultures and ways that revered these powerful medicines. Peoples across the world once used—and, in some cases, continue to use— mind-altering substances to heal the sick, expand the mind, unlock wisdom, and commune with the gods.

In many ways, science is attempting to catch up and understand thousands of years of psychedelic use and the role it has played in shaping society today. It is important to pay homage to the many indigenous cultures who paved the way for the modern scientific fascination and exploration of psychedelic substances, such as the Abwiti of West Africa, the Mazatec of Mexico, and the indigenous peoples of Amazonia, who discovered the plant medicine Ayahuasca.

In spite of more recent findings from numerous clinical studies and the social movements surrounding psychedelics, it still remains illegal to possess these substances in the US. However, many states have begun to change their policies around criminalization and penalty for possession. If you are searching for ways to experience the therapeutic benefits of substances like psilocybin, DMT or MDMA in a therapeutic setting, you may struggle to find the right resources.

In most states throughout the US, there is no legal way to work with a licensed therapist trained in psychedelic assisted therapy. It is important to understand that, while psychotherapists cannot legally aid you in your trip nor provide you with any substances, it is possible for you to experience the therapeutic benefits of psychedelics with a trained, professional guide. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of psychedelic assisted therapy, as well as Kansas’ state laws that affect the legal options you have near you. If you’re interested in learning more, we encourage you to book a consult with us today

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Kansas

Psychedelics, including psilocybin—the mind-altering compound in magic mushrooms—still remain illegal to possess in Kansas and are Schedule I substances. Interestingly, magic mushrooms are only illegal because they are considered a vehicle for psilocybin. Because of this nuanced specification in the law, spores of psychedelic mushroom varieties are currently legal to possess since they have not yet produced psilocybin.

Additionally, in the last few years a bill was introduced in Kansas to legalize possession and cultivation of up to 50 grams of psychedelic mushrooms. This bill would have removed the current harsh penalties for possession at the state level, but, like many other attempts for drug reform, the bill did not make it very far. While this indicates there is a long way to go before psychedelic substances see decriminalization in the state of Kansas, it does show that there is a movement in that direction and an effort to inspire reform.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Kansas

1. Ketamine Clinics

While Ketamine is considered different from more traditional psychedelics, the medical field widely recognizes its effectiveness in treating depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. Because of this, “ketamine clinics” are opening all over the US.

These clinics offer a legal, medical route for having a therapeutic psychedelic experience, as ketamine can be administered legally by registered practitioners. However, it may be difficult to find a ketamine clinic near you, and because these treatments take place in a clinical setting, they do not always offer a holistic, well-rounded experience.

You may also find that there is less emphasis on adequate preparation and integration of the psychedelic journey, and the effects of ketamine are generally not considered to be long-lasting. For those of you seeking a legitimate ketamine clinic, we invite you to check out our guide here.

2. Guided Psychedelic Experiences

Having a positive experience on psychedelics can be the difference between psycho-spiritual healing and spiraling further into unhealthy patterns. It is important to highlight the distinction between a positive experience and a pleasant one.

A positive psychedelic trip is one that helps facilitate healing and consciousness expansion, and sometimes is achieved through unpleasant or intense experiences. The difference between a negative trip—if there is such a thing—and a challenging yet ultimately positive one, is that you emerge from a hard but meaningful trip feeling a sense of growth, support, catharsis, and resolution.

The presence of a guide or “trip-sitter” can provide a sense of safety and insurance during your profound experience as well as help you prepare beforehand and integrate afterwards. Lasting change comes from being able to integrate what you learned during your trip, instead of being left with more questions than when you started.

At Psychedelic Passage, we provide professional facilitators with an emphasis on harm reduction, and while we are not licensed mental health professionals, we are trained and experienced guides. Do note that we do not provide any psychedelic substances, but do provide preparation, harm reduction and integration services during your psychedelic experience. While the majority of our clients choose to work with psilocybin, we can sit for other psychedelic medicines as well.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

Psychedelics are showing promise as a treatment for various mood and psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety and PTSD. As noted above, psychedelics also have a rich history as a tool for healing, along with positive findings from recent clinical studies. Still, you may be wondering whether having an experienced guide during your trip is necessary at all. Why would you need a guide if science is proving that psychedelics have so much healing potential?

There are a few reasons why the presence of a guide can be beneficial to you. First, working with a guide before your trip can help you prepare for your ceremony so that you can get the most out of it. This prep work may include setting clear intentions for the experience, or, in other words, acknowledging why you have been called to it and what you are hoping to take away from it.

During your ceremony, your guide can help you remain calm and support you in whatever ways you may need so that you can dive inward and let go without having to worry about what’s happening around you. And, after your ceremony, being able to discuss and integrate your journey with a guide can help you make sense of what you have learned, answer any lingering questions you may have, and continue to reap the benefits of the medicine as you return to your day-to-day activities.

Having a veteran trip sitter who has experience working with psychedelic substances can help ensure your safety, calmness, and well-being throughout your trip, enabling you to fully release and go further. While psychedelics can invoke ecstatic and beautiful moments, they can also be frightening or anxiety-inducing at times, so it is extremely beneficial to have someone support you. For more information on the benefits of having a guide, you can schedule a consultation with one of our facilitators here.

Lake in Iowa

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Iowa

As the public discourse surrounding mental health and wellness continues to evolve, the destigmatization of mental illness has become a major talking point. More people are feeling called to share about their mental health struggles publicly on social media or to speak openly about their journeys with their friends and families.

Labels such as “depression,” “anxiety,” “PTSD,” “ADHD” and “addiction” have strangely become buzzwords, and many people that have never received a clinical diagnosis have started to realize that they, too, have grappled with psychological and mood issues. Because more people have access to information regarding their mental health, they often feel empowered to understand their own psyches and rise to a level of greater self-awareness.

The notion of mental health has become less about a diagnosis and more about the spectrum of varying symptoms that nearly everyone experiences at some point in their life. Along with this destigmatization has also arisen a movement toward psychological exploration and self-healing.

It is no surprise that psychedelics and psychedelic assisted therapy are prevalent within this conversation. Peoples across the planet have utilized mind-altering substances for thousands of years to expand consciousness, facilitate deep healing and induce spiritual experiences. Indigenous societies throughout South America are famously known for their use of ayahuasca to heal individuals with the help of a shaman. Other cultures, such as the Mazatec of Mexico and the Abwiti of West Africa, have also made use of psychedelic substances for similar purposes and in similar ways.

In the last twenty years, Western medicine has recognized the therapeutic potential of these substances and researchers have begun conducting numerous clinical studies to understand how psychedelics work to alleviate mood disorders and aid in psychological healing. If you are wondering how you can experience medicines such as psilocybin, DMT or MDMA in a therapeutic setting, you may hit some major roadblocks.

In most states throughout the US, there is no legal way to work with a licensed therapist trained in psychedelic assisted therapy. An important distinction to make is that, while psychotherapists cannot legally aid you in your trip nor provide you with any substances, it is possible to experience the therapeutic benefits of psychedelics with a trained, professional guide. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of psychedelic assisted therapy as well as the state laws in Iowa and what legal options you have near you.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Iowa

It is an exciting time in the US as the legal landscape surrounding psychedelics continues to shift in a favorable direction. Just last year, a bill to decriminalize magic mushrooms—by removing psilocybin and psilocin from Iowa’s controlled substances list—was brought before Iowa state legislature. Though the bill ultimately was not passed, it demonstrated a potential roadmap for psychedelic decriminalization within the state.

Unfortunately, magic mushrooms (which contain psilocybin), along with cannabis, MDMA, ketamine and LSD, are still Schedule I substances for the time being. In spite of efforts to decriminalize these substances, the state of Iowa still remains one of the strictest states regarding possession or use of these substances, and magic mushrooms (psilocybin and psilocyn) are still illegal in the eyes of the federal government.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Iowa

1. Ketamine Clinics

While Ketamine is a bit unique in relation to more traditional psychedelics, its effectiveness in treating depression and other mood disorders is widely recognized by the medical field, so much so that “ketamine clinics” are popping up all over the US. However, these clinics do not always offer a holistic, well-rounded experience, or prioritize adequate preparation and integration of the psychedelic journey. For those of you who are interested in pursuing ketamine assisted therapy, we’ve written a guide to help you select a reputable clinic

2. Guided Psychedelic Experiences

A therapeutic psychedelic experience often requires more than just taking a substance itself. The euphemism “set and setting” stands true, and the presence of a “trip-sitter” or guide may be the difference between having a truly positive, healing experience and a negative one. Having access to a facilitator who will help prepare you ahead of time and help you make sense of things afterwards can be an invaluable tool in your psychedelic journey.

For more information on the benefits of having a guide, you can schedule a consultation with one of our facilitators.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Utah

Oregon is in the midst of creating the first-ever legal psilocybin practitioner program. Texas has inspired Southern lawmakers with its state mandate to study the healing benefits of psychedelics. And up to the Northeast, Maine is pursuing an ambitious bill to provide psilocybin therapy to everyone— even if you don’t have a mental health diagnosis.

All over the country, the psychedelic reform movement is gaining speed. If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering: what about the Beehive State?

In this article, we’ll be going over the legal landscape of psychedelics in Utah. In addition to that, we’ll be describing all your options for a safe, supported psychedelic experience right in your home city.

It all comes down to the word therapy. Right now, the only way to access psychedelic-assisted therapy is through clinical trials. This is because psychedelics are illegal in every state except Oregon. Because therapists get their licenses from their state government, they could risk losing the ability to practice if they used psychedelics.

While you can try to sign up for a study, using psychedelics in conjunction with therapy won’t be available to the public for several more years. However, a therapeutic psychedelic experience is still possible. Therapeutic simply means “to have a beneficial effect on the mind or body,” so a practitioner who is not a therapist can provide a psychedelic experience and call it therapeutic without the same legal repercussions.

So just how does one access a therapeutic psychedelic experience in Utah? Let’s get into it.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

Psychedelics can produce experiences that completely change how we view ourselves and the world at large.

It’s common for those with PTSD to be resistant to treatment because fundamentally, it’s very difficult to access and process buried trauma. MDMA, the primary compound in ecstasy, can heal the disorder in one or two sessions because it creates an internal state of love and acceptance that allows people to not only access their traumas, but to see them in a completely new light.

With depression, there’s a massive element of stuckness: people feel stuck in a mental prison of ruminative thinking and negative beliefs. Psilocybin, the core compound in “magic” mushrooms, helps people with depression break out of their mental prison. Depression is often described as gray and numb, and psilocybin introduces color and vibrancy that allows people to remember what the joy of living feels like.

Although most research focuses on mental health disorders, psychologically healthy people can also experience the benefits of psychedelics. The mystical experiences often experienced on psychedelics can awaken people to how interconnected we all are. In a state of oneness with all things, where there is no separation, we can access deeper states of compassion and trust for our fellow humans and cultivate a sense of kinship with the earth.

And if all that wasn’t exciting enough, psychedelics can also help us improve our work performance. Through the practice of microdosing, or taking small amounts of a substance several times a week, we can expand our creativity, enhance our productivity, and reduce the anxiety of busy work days.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Utah

The legal landscape of psychedelics of Utah is like a nearby flash of lightning: the thunder of full psychedelic reform is not far behind.

A Utah Senate committee very recently approved HB 167, a bill that would create a state task force dedicated to studying the benefits of psychedelics on mental health disorders. What makes this bill even more interesting is that the person who created it, Rep. Brady Brammer, is a conservative Mormon. His support of psychedelic healing exemplifies how psychedelic reform is not “progressive”— it’s necessary.

On the ground, there are several organizations pushing for the decriminalization and further education surrounding these medicines. The Decriminalize Nature movement, which historically decriminalized psychedelics in Oakland, has a booming chapter in Salt Like City. There is also SCPTR, or the Salt City Psychedelic Therapy and Research, which provides training to future psychedelic therapists, and the Utah Psychedelic Society, which brings psychedelic enthusiasts together.

Although there is only one major legal measure currently in the works, all the grassroots movement in Utah paints a hopeful picture for rapid reform across the state.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Utah

In Utah, you have two options for a therapeutic psychedelic experience: ketamine clinics and guided psychedelic journeys.

It’s important to note that if you do decide to pursue a guided psychedelic journey, you are responsible for sourcing your own medicine. If you have questions or concerns about this process, check out our Resources page for more information.

1. Ketamine Clinics

Compared to the vibrant and mystical experiences of conventional psychedelics, ketamine can feel a bit more clinical. However, ketamine clinics are popping up all over the country because of the medicine’s ability to provide rapid relief from a host of mental health conditions, most notably depression.

Ketamine is currently the only psychedelic that is legal for medical use, so it is the only medicine that can be used in conjunction with psychotherapy. While this is exciting, it also means that the quality of care is a bit like the Wild West. You want a clinic that will provide you therapeutic guidance before and after your ketamine session, and you’ll want to make sure the therapist is a match for you.

Check out our article on how to find a ketamine clinic near you. If you can’t find one that provides adequate psychological support, try seeking out a psychedelic integration specialist or reach out to a therapist of your own. If neither of those options work out, you can always call the Fireside Project Peer Support hotline.

2. Guided psychedelic journeys with Psychedelic Passage

At Psychedelic Passage, we come to you. No matter where you live in Utah, if we can physically get to you, we will sit for you.

It’s our highest priority to make you feel safe enough to fully explore the depths of your consciousness. For this reason, we offer programs that are five weeks long. Programs begin with two virtual preparation sessions, then the in-person ceremony, and then we end with two virtual integration sessions. If you’re not quite ready for a full dose ceremony, we can coach you through a microdosing protocol.

We have a diverse group of facilitators all across the country, all of whom are experienced with numerous psychedelics, including LSD, DMT, and mescaline. Most of our clients journey with psilocybin mushrooms, as they are the most accessible psychedelic, but we urge you to journey with whatever medicine speaks to you the most. Although not as common, we can also sit for a cannabis journey as well.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Missouri

What if we told you that you were already complete? That beneath all the stories you tell yourself, there is a version of you that knows exactly who they are. A version of you that is full of love, compassion, and graciousness. This is the True Self.

There are many ways to see through the emotional and mental gunk that hides this True Self, but psychedelics are one of the most powerful tools we have. All across the US, people are waking up from the narrative that psychedelics are dangerous and seeing them for what they are: pathways to our True Selves, lights through our inner darkness.

But psychedelics are still illegal in every state except Oregon. How, then, is it possible to receive psychedelic healing?

If you’ve read How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan or news reports on clinical trials, you may be tempted to seek out psychedelic-assisted therapy, where psychedelics are used in conjunction with a licensed psychotherapist. Currently, this type of healing is only available through participation in a clinical trial. Therapists can risk losing their license if they are caught using psychedelics in their practice.

However, a therapeutic psychedelic experience is still possible. Therapeutic simply means “to have a beneficial effect on the mind or body.” A practitioner who is not a therapist can facilitate a psychedelic experience and call it “therapeutic” without facing the same legal repercussions.

At Psychedelic Passage, all of our facilitators are practitioners who have dedicated their lives to psychedelic healing. What’s more, we come to you— no matter where you live in Missouri, if we can physically get to you, we will sit for you.

In this article, we’ll be going over more details about the legal landscape of psychedelics in the Show-Me state and how you can have a safe, supported psychedelic experience in your home city.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

The mental health benefits of psychedelics are the most well-known and the most studied. MDMA is on track to be a legal treatment for PTSD by 2023, and psilocybin is eliminating depression just as well as pharmaceutical antidepressants, only without the terrible side effects.

But a discussion that just focuses on the mental health benefits of psychedelics is too narrow. Psychedelics are more than the next medical marvel— new studies are now focusing on how pivotal the spiritual component of a psychedelic experience is. Regardless of your religious belief, when you have an experience of being one with the cosmos, you are more likely to be happier than those do not.

The reasons are plentiful, but the most consistent one is that when we have authentic spiritual experiences, we are transported out of our limiting narrative of who we are. We achieve a higher state of being that is fundamentally interconnected to every other living thing, and this invites a revolutionary capacity for compassion and love towards the world. That higher state of being is the True Self.

The True Self is not a fanciful concept: it’s the deepest reality of what you are. There are dozens of tools that can help you become aware of this Self, but psychedelics are turning heads because they *catalyze* this awareness. They make it possible for more people to change the world in the name of love and unity rather than hate, greed, or control.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Missouri

Missouri is an exciting place to be when it comes to psychedelic reform.

Although it didn’t make it through committee the first time, a bill to extend Missouri’s “Right-To-Try” Act to include psychedelics is making a comeback in 2022. The Right-To-Try Act allows residents with terminal illness to access treatments not yet approved by the FDA. Under the new bill, the Act would be amended to include psychedelics as possible treatments to pursue, as well as expanding to cover those with debilitating conditions like severe mental illness.

Although not considered to be a psychedelic, cannabis is also seeing major reform activity in the state. There are several bills being developed for the legalization of cannabis, as well as different groups gathering signatures for a ballot initiative.

Legal reform happens as a consequence of grassroots movement, so it’s encouraging to know that in several major cities in the Show-Me state, there are organizations being developed around the education of psychedelics. In St. Louis, there is the STL Psychedelic Society as well as a branch of Decriminalize Nature, the organization that first decriminalized plant psychedelics in Oakland.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Missouri

In Missouri, you have two options for a therapeutic psychedelic experience: ketamine clinics and guided psychedelic journeys.

It’s important to note that if you do decide to pursue a guided psychedelic journey, you are responsible for sourcing your own medicine. If you have questions or concerns about this process, check out our Resources page for more information.

1. Ketamine Clinics

While the country waits for the legal system to catch up with the science, ketamine clinics are opening all across Missouri to provide people with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Ketamine is not a conventional psychedelic, but it has been shown to be a powerful antidepressant in a similar way that psilocybin is: you are taken out of your old sense of self and gain a higher, detached perspective that allows you to process the roots of your issues.

Although it is the only psychedelic medicine that can currently be paired with therapy, the quality of that therapy can vary widely across clinics. Make sure that you reach out to the mental health professionals on staff and ensure that they will support you before and after your session.

If you can’t find a clinic with adequate psychological support, consider seeking out a psychedelic integration specialist or a therapist of your own that is knowledgeable of psychedelics. Although they are not therapists, the Fireside Project Peer Support hotline is a great resource as well.

2. Guided Psychedelic Journeys with Psychedelic Passage

At Psychedelic Passage, we believe that the transformation of consciousness is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to bringing the power of psychedelic healing to as many people as possible.

Our programs are typically five weeks long, with two virtual preparation sessions, the in-person ceremony, and two virtual integration sessions. We set up our programs this way to ensure that you get the support you need to fully explore your consciousness and to effectively weave whatever you discover into your everyday life.

We want you to journey with the medicine that most calls to you, so all of our facilitators are experienced with numerous psychedelics, including DMT, mescaline, and LSD. Many clients choose to journey with psilocybin mushrooms because they are the most accessible and hardest to tamper with. Although not as common, if you would like to journey with cannabis, we can sit for that as well.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Delaware

Great power lies in psychedelics. They have the ability to help us transform not just our traumas and negative beliefs, but our sense of identity. After just one or two sessions with a given medicine, we may walk away as a completely new person, filled with love and grace where before there was only anger and despair.

But with great power comes great responsibility. If you’re a first-timer, journeying with the guidance of a trained practitioner is a smart move because it ensures a safe container for you to fully explore your consciousness. The question is: since psychedelics remain illegal in every state except Oregon, how does a resident of the Diamond State find a practitioner?

The key lies in the word therapy. Most news coverage is on clinical trails for psychedelic-assisted therapy, where people take psychedelics in the presence of a licensed therapist. While you can try to sign up for a trial, psychedelic-assisted therapy won’t be available to the public for some time. Therapists must follow the rules of their state governments to keep their licenses, so as of right now, they can’t help guide people through psychedelic journeys.

This is why Psychedelic Passage exists. We are not therapists—which allows us to do this work without facing the same legal consequences—but we are a group of trained healers who have dedicated our lives to guiding others through their psychedelic experiences.

In this article, we’ll be describing the legal landscape of psychedelics in Delaware and how you can have a safe, supported experience in your home city.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

Psychedelics can benefit all areas of our lives. In the mental health category, MDMA is set to be a legal treatment for PTSD by as early as 2023. MDMA is the primacy compound in the “love drug,” ecstasy. When used in conjunction with psychotherapy, it has proven over and over again to help people process their traumas with love and self-compassion.

Psilocybin is on a similarly optimistic route to legality for its ability to help those with depression. Psilocybin is the core compound of “magic” mushrooms, and in just one two sessions with the medicine, people break out of their mental prison of rumination and despair. Like LSD and ayahuasca, psilocybin turns off the neural network responsible for the sense of self, which allows people to rediscover themselves without the filter of negative stories and beliefs about themselves.

Regardless of your religious beliefs, psychedelics can also produce mystical experiences that at the very least, awaken people to a deeper state of mystery and magic to the world. People who have an experience of oneness, where all separation dissolves and you become one with the universe, are more likely to be happier than those who do not. Generally, more studies are picking up on the fact that it is often the spiritual component of a psychedelic experience that leads to greater wellbeing.

Lastly, psychedelics can also be used for optimizing work performance. Through microdosing, or taking small amounts of a psychedelic substance several times a week, you can enhance your creativity, increase your focus, and achieve higher states of presence.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Delaware

As of right now, there have not been any significant psychedelic reform efforts conducted in the Diamond State.

Like many other states, Delaware is currently still focused on legalizing cannabis. While cannabis has been decriminalized in small amounts, several bills are pushing for full scale legalization of recreational use.

In states with no active psychedelic reform, it’s important to remember that legal changes are often a consequence of grassroots movement. Delaware has a Psychedelic Society, and there are dozens of local psychedelic groups scattered throughout the state. The more people talk about and educate themselves on the benefits of psychedelics, the more possible it is to get a bill on the table.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Delaware

In Delaware, you have two options for a therapeutic psychedelic experience: ketamine clinics and guided psychedelic journeys.

It’s important to note that if you do decide to pursue a guided psychedelic journey, you are responsible for sourcing your own medicine. If you have questions or concerns about this process, check out our resources page for more information.

1. Ketamine Clinics

Ketamine is not considered to be a conventional psychedelic like psilocybin mushrooms or LSD, but it’s categorized as such for its ability to facilitate rapid healing—most notably for depression—and radically shift your sense of self. It’s also legal for medical purposes, which makes it the only psychedelic substance available for psychedelic-assisted therapy.

However, therapy in conjunction with ketamine looks very different than therapy in conjunction with psilocybin or MDMA. The latter involves sessions that are typically six to eight hours long, which means a lot of care has to be put into every session.

Ketamine sessions at most clinics, however, are typically one hour long. While the length of a session isn’t a direct indicator of the quality of care, a therapist who can facilitate six ketamine sessions in a day is going to have a different relationship to the medicine than someone who can only do one session a day. For this reason, if you choose to pursue ketamine therapy, be sure to vet clinics for a support team that works for you.

You can check out our article on how to find a ketamine clinic near you for added help. If you’re struggling to find the right support, seek out a psychedelic integration specialist or a therapist of your own who has knowledge of psychedelics. Although they are not mental health professionals, you can also reach out to the Fireside Project Peer Support hotline.

2. Guided Psychedelic Journeys with Psychedelic Passage

No matter where you are in the great state of Delaware, if we can physically get to you, we will sit for you. Typically, our programs are five weeks long. Although the transformation within a session can be rapid, psychedelic healing is actually very slow business. In order to ease you into the experience and ease you out of it, our program includes two virtual preparation experiences, the in-person ceremony, and two virtual integration sessions.

We also offer microdosing coaching if you feel like you’re not quite ready for a full dose ceremony. We’ll guide you through a protocol, dosage, and best practices to integrate your experiences.

We want you to journey with whatever medicine feels most aligned to you, so all of our facilitators are trained with a variety of psychedelics, including mescaline, DMT, and LSD. Psilocybin mushrooms tend to be the most popular choice because they are the easiest to access and the hardest to fake. Although not as common, we also sit for cannabis journeys as well.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Idaho

With Idaho bordering the only state in the country that has legalized a psilocybin therapy program, you’re probably wondering what your options are for psychedelic healing here in the Gem State.

The bad news: the psychedelic-assisted therapy you’ve likely read about in the news is only available in clinical trials. While you can try to sign up for a trial, it’s likely that using psychedelics in conjunction with psychotherapy is still several years away. Therapists get their license to practice from their state government, and since psychedelics remain illegal in every state except Oregon, a therapist can lose their license if they use the medicines in their practice.

The good news: therapeutic psychedelic experiences are still possible. Therapeutic simply means “to have a beneficial effect on the mind or body,” so a practitioner who is not a therapist but skilled with psychedelics can provide a psychedelic experience and call it therapeutic without the same legal repercussions.

At Psychedelic Passage, all of our facilitators are experienced healers who are deeply committed to the medicine path. What’s more, our facilitators come to you. No need to drive hours over to Oregon or Washington— wherever you are in the Gem State, if we can physically get to you, we will sit for you.

In this article, we’ll be going over the legal landscape of psychedelics in Idaho and how you can have a safe, supported psychedelic experience in your city.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

“Medicine” is a bit of a misnomer when describing psychedelics. “Catalyst” might be more accurate, because the reality is that psychedelics don’t cure anything: they make it more possible for us to cure ourselves.

Psilocybin, for example, turns off the neural network that maintains our sense of self, called the Default Mode Network (DMN). Depression is thought to be the result of an overly rigid DMN, which means a sense of self that is resistant to change and overly dependent on old, fear-based narratives. When psilocybin turns the DMN off, people with depression suddenly have the ability to see themselves in a completely new light, to rewrite the narrative of their life to one that is more joyous, fulfilled, and loving.

Psilocybin is the vehicle for change, but we are the ones who actually enact it. And this doesn’t just happen with larger doses. Microdosing is the practice of taking small amounts of a psychedelic several times a week, and people do it to improve their work performance. Microdosing helps curb anxiety and sharpen focus, as well as reliably enhancing creativity.

Psychedelics can also be a catalyst for major metaphysical transformation. The mystical experiences possible with LSD or ayahuasca can completely reshape your understanding of the material world, inviting a personal relationship, or oneness experience, with the Universal Intelligence that runs through all things. Regardless of your religious beliefs, people who have an experience of oneness report being happier than those who don’t.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Idaho

Mirroring the strict cannabis laws, there is no serious legal reform in Idaho when it comes to psychedelic medicine. Currently, the focus is on cannabis, as medical cannabis is still not legal despite enormous evidence of the plant’s healing potential.

Like many other states, there is a smattering of psychedelic clubs throughout the state, as well as various practitioners who can provide psychedelic integration services. Although there has not yet been any legal reform, a growing grassroots movement is essential to pressure legislators to consider legalization— or at the very least, decriminalization. So if you can, seek out these people in your community and get involved.

Your Legal Options for Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Idaho

In Idaho, you have two options for a therapeutic psychedelic experience: ketamine clinics and guided psychedelic journeys.

It’s important to note that if you do decide to pursue a guided psychedelic journey, you are responsible for sourcing your own medicine. If you have questions or concerns about this process, check out our Resources page for more information.

1. Ketamine Clinics

Ketamine is loosely considered to be a psychedelic medicine, and because it is legal for medical purposes, it is currently the only substance available for psychedelic-assisted therapy.

However, the quality of that therapy can vary widely. When searching for the right ketamine clinic, you will want to make sure that the clinic provides therapy before and after your session. Ketamine can elicit powerful experiences that radically shift your understanding of yourself, which can be an incredibly disorienting process to integrate if you don’t have the right support.

Check out our article on how to find a ketamine clinic near you. If you’re struggling to find one that fits your needs, consider consulting a psychedelic integration specialist, reaching out the Fireside Project Peer Support hotline, or seeking out a therapist of your own.

2. Guided Psychedelic Journeys with Psychedelic Passage

We want to make sure you feel safe enough to fully explore the depths of your consciousness, so our programs are typically five weeks long to build a supportive enough container. We offer two virtual preparation sessions, the in-person ceremony, and two virtual integration sessions. We offer income-based pricing tiers, and financial assistance is available to qualifying individuals.

If you’re not quite ready for a full dose ceremony, we can guide you through a microdosing protocol. We’ll cover dosage, intention-setting, and best practices to weave your experiences into your daily life. Even if you are ready for a ceremony, microdosing can be a great way to build a relationship with your chosen medicine.

All of our facilitators work with a variety of psychedelics, including LSD, DMT, and mescaline. Most of our clients choose to journey with psilocybin mushrooms, as they are the most accessible medicine and the hardest to tamper with. Although not as common, we can also sit for a cannabis journey as well.

Psilocybin & Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in Georgia

Georgia has some of the strictest laws when it comes to drug policy, so you’re probably wondering how it’s possible for the residents of the Peach State to access psychedelic healing.

Before this article, it’s likely you thought that your options were restricted to traveling to cities like Seattle or Oakland, where psychedelics are decriminalized, or flying to ayahuasca retreats in Costa Rica or Peru. Or maybe you thought that you’d have to apply for a study in a clinical trial.

The good news is that you don’t have to do any of these things to experience psychedelic healing. At Psychedelic Passage, we come to you. We believe that the transformation of consciousness is a fundamental human right, and we travel all across the US to sit for folks who want to use psychedelics for their emotional and spiritual health.

What allows us to do this comes down to the word therapy. As of right now, psychedelic-assisted therapy is only possible in clinical trials because therapists cannot legally use psychedelics in their practice. Although Oregon is in the midst of creating a system of legal psilocybin practitioners, therapists in every other state risk losing their license if they practice with psychedelics.

However, a practitioner who is not a therapist can provide a psychedelic experience and call it therapeutic without the same legal repercussions as a therapist. Therapeutic simply means “to have a beneficial effect on the body or mind.” In this way, our facilitators can provide a therapeutic psychedelic experiences to the residents of Georgia.

In this article, we’ll be going over the details of the legality of psychedelics in Georgia and how you can have a safe, supported psychedelic experience in your city.

Benefits of Having a Therapeutic Psychedelic Experience

First and foremost, psychedelics are tools. They can produce powerful, life-changing experiences, but they are not what cures us: they are the vehicle through which we cure ourselves.

Take MDMA for example. MDMA is the primary compound in ecstasy, and it’s proven repeatedly to help those with treatment-resistant PTSD heal from the disorder in one or two sessions. In every case, MDMA doesn’t take the disorder away. It provides participants an internal state of love and safety that allows them to process their traumas and gain a new perspective rooted in compassion vs. fear or shame.

In the case of psilocybin, the core compound of “magic” mushrooms, people with depression experience rapid healing because psilocybin turns off the network in the brain responsible for the sense of self. It’s thought that depression is the result of an overly rigid sense of self that is resistant to change. By turning that old self off, psilocybin gifts people the opportunity to know themselves in a completely new way.

This fundamental transformation of self is actually the core benefit of most psychedelics, even for psychologically healthy people. When we view ourselves as separate from the planet and each other, it’s so easy to treat everything outside of ourselves with judgement and anger.

But when we view ourselves as indistinguishable from the vast, interconnected network of life, we become more capable of treating the earth and all its inhabitants with love, trust, and graciousness.

The promise of psychedelics is nothing short of a revolution of being. However, lest we get carried away, we must always remember that psychedelics are allies, teachers, and catalysts, but when it comes down to it, we are the agents of change.

The Current Legislation on Psychedelics in Georgia

Right now, there has not been any significant legal psychedelic reform in the Peach State. Cannabis has been successfully decriminalized in some major cities like Athens and Savannah, and this is a considerable win for a historically strict state. However, it may be some years before any legislation on psychedelics is introduced in the state.

The University of Georgia houses a robust Psychedelic Club and Students for Sensible Drug Policy Club, and the Decriminalize Nature movement, which decriminalized plant psychedelics in Oakland, is being newly implemented in the state.

Although small in number, these various organizations are important for educating people about the benefits of psychedelics and motivating grassroots influence. After Texas surprised the country by mandating that the state carry out research into psychedelic healing, there’s hope that the South in general may follow.

Psychedelics in Georgia: Advancements in Research & Treatment

Georgia has seen significant progress in the field of psychedelic research and treatment, particularly in the context of mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and major depressive disorder (MDD).

This section explores information regarding randomized controlled trials, psychedelic research, treatment-resistant depression, systematic reviews, and the role of organizations like the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in advancing psychedelic studies.

Randomized Controlled Trials and Psychedelic Research: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are rigorous scientific studies that compare the effects of a psychedelic drug with a placebo or standard treatment.

Georgia, like other regions, has conducted RCTs to assess the safety and efficacy of psychedelic-assisted treatments. These trials provide valuable data on the potential therapeutic benefits of psychedelics.

Major Depressive Disorder & Treatment-Resistant Depression: Research on psychedelic-assisted therapies for major depressive disorder (MDD) has shown promising results. Georgia, in collaboration with research institutions, has contributed to studies investigating the efficacy of psychedelic treatments for MDD, including treatment-resistant depression. These treatments aim to address the needs of individuals who have not responded to traditional therapies.

Systematic Reviews & Psychedelic Studies: Systematic reviews gather and analyze existing scientific literature on a specific topic. Such reviews on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy have provided comprehensive insights into the efficacy and safety of these treatments. Georgia’s participation in psychedelic studies contributes to the body of evidence that supports the potential of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS): The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a leading organization involved in psychedelic research and advocacy. MAPS supports scientific studies, including clinical trials, to assess the safety and effectiveness of psychedelic treatments. Their work has helped shape the landscape of psychedelic research and treatment in Georgia and worldwide.

Psychedelic and Consciousness Research: Georgia, along with other regions, has shown a growing interest in exploring the intersection of psychedelics and consciousness. Research initiatives aim to better understand the effects of psychedelics on subjective experiences, cognition, and neural mechanisms. Such studies contribute to the broader field of psychedelic research.

Legal Options: Therapeutic Psychedelic Experiences in Georgia 2023

In Georgia, you have two options for a therapeutic psychedelic experience: ketamine clinics and guided psychedelic journeys. It’s important to note that if you do decide to pursue a guided psychedelic journey, you are responsible for sourcing your own medicine. If you have questions or concerns about this process, check out our Resources page for more information.

1. Ketamine Clinics

Although Georgia has not yet seen any psychedelic reform, ketamine clinics are still popping up all across the state. Ketamine is not a conventional psychedelic, but it does share the capacity for rapid healing— most notably with depression— and major shifts in the sense of self. It is legal for medical use, making it the only substance currently available for psychedelic-assisted therapy.

However, the therapy that clinics provide can vary. Ideally, you want to work with a therapist who will support you before and after your session. Take some time to do in-depth research into the clinics in your area.

If you can’t find a clinic that provides a level of support that works for you, consider seeking out a psychedelic integration specialist or a therapist of your own who is knowledgeable of psychedelics. Check out our article on finding a ketamine clinic near you here.

2. Guided Psychedelic Journeys with Psychedelic Passage

No matter where you live in Georgia, our network of pre-vetted, local guides will sit for you. In order to ensure you receive the best support possible, our network of guides offer a five-week-long program

This starts off with two virtual preparation sessions to establish your intentions, then you’ll have an in-person ceremony, and then you’ll end with two virtual integration sessions to weave your psychedelic experience in your daily life.

If you’re feeling nervous about a full dose ceremony, you can try microdosing. Microdosing is the practice of taking small amounts of a psychedelic substance several times a week. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with a given medicine, and we can coach you through a protocol and best practices.

Our networks wants to make sure you feel comfortable enough to fully explore the depths of your consciousness, so they’re here to support you in whatever way you need. Our network is experienced with numerous psychedelics, including psilocybin, DMT, LSD, and mescaline.

Clients most frequently decide to journey with psilocybin mushrooms, as they are the most accessible substance and the hardest to tamper with. Although not as common, guides can also sit for a cannabis journey.
